In 1989 Waterway introduced the fire service to a new concept in fire hose testing outsourcing. The idea of providing fire departments with an alternative to in house testing was a bold concept to say the least. Realizing that the annual NFPA required test was a time consuming, labor intensive task that was also dangerous to fire personnel, fire departments quickly saw the value in this service. As a result growth has been steady and continuous as more departments join the increasing number of Waterway customers.

Over the years many changes have taken place, as a result, we have over 12 different locations throughout the country testing over 12 million feet of hose on an annual basis. With this many locations we are able to better serve our customers by providing a more local presence to our customers. We have also expanded our services to include the following: hard suction testing, pump testing, nozzle and appliance testing, and system testing. With these additional services being offered we are able to be a "One Stop Shop" testing company for our customers.
